We set sail from the Scholes' house in the morning and made our way to Venice Beach where we partied the first half of the day away at Liz & Shiloh's. The Strong's were generous enough to combine Shiloh's birthday with our send off; we brunched and beached with many wonderful friends and their families... what a blast!
The Scholes - being the incredible friends they are - made their way up to the festivities that day and had a room at a nearby hotel that night. We joined them for a dance party dinner in the hotel lobby and watched the Hawks win game 5 against the TB Lightning (woohoo!!).
After a less than easy goodbye we made our way to Burbank where the Dittmans had set up a super-comfy and spacious crash pad for us in their granny-flat.
It was the perfect beginning for our journey home.
