Blackout shades are the greatest!!! Our entire family slept until 9am , thanks to the genius window coverings at the Best Western. That is definitely a first!
The morning started with a wonderful text from my girl, Genny... She was checked into the hospital and their second born was to be delivered by the afternoon!! Congrats, Mollers! We love you so much ❤️
We made our way to Bishop and enjoyed a lovely picnic lunch with Schat's sandwiches at a quiet, shady park in town. The girls chased ducks and Kier and I stretched out on the grass; it was divine.
We reached our destination, Silver Lake, which is just down the road from June Lake (15 miles south of Lee Vining) and set up camp by nightfall. The Stars last night were breathtaking so after the girls fell asleep we laid out sleeping bags out in the grass and mapped out the night sky.
We're going to miss this part of the country a hell of a lot.
